Sedum Comparison

I bought this plant about a month ago. I received it through the mail, and it came in good condition and is doing well where it was planted. I bought a sedum from a local nursery at the same time and planted it in the same location. It isn't performing well and it is likely to die. Nature Hills sedums look healthy and appear to be thriving, along with the roses I bought from them!! Thanks Nature Hills!

Kimberly, that side-by-side comparison really does say it all. It's great to hear the Coraljade is settling in well, and that the roses are taking off too. Sedums can be surprisingly sensitive to how they're grown before they ever reach your garden, so starting with a plant that's been properly conditioned makes a real difference. We appreciate you sharing the comparison and hope everything continues to fill in nicely.

I have a Sedum Joy but these Coraljades are going to be beautiful

I have a Sedum Joy but these Coraljades are going to be beautiful. They are doing great and will make the center of attention.

Coraljade is a great companion to Sedum Joy. The two have a similar growth habit but enough difference in color and texture to really play off each other. Enjoy watching them fill in, Ruth, and thanks for sharing the update.

Frequently Asked Questions

How To Grow And Care For Sedum?

  • Also known as Stonecrop, Sedum need full sun for the most flowers and very well-drained soil. Provide moderate, regular moisture and fertility. Prune down in the very early spring.

Will Sedum come back every year?

  • Sedum are reliable perennials so long as they have well-drained soil year-round.

What happens to Sedum in winter?

  • Sedum are herbaceous perennials that will lose their leaves after frost and die back to the ground. They leave behind ornamental dried flowers and stems for winter interest. In spring, they regrow from their root systems anew!

Will Stonecrop spread quickly?

  • Stonecrop or Sedum will not spread or become invasive, staying put where it's planted as low-growing mounding plants. What Shipping Options Do You Offer?
