Decorate your life with a wonderfully versatile Rose! Sweet Drift® Rose ('Rosa 'Meiswetdom') produces amazing clusters of fully double, clear-pink flowers. The profuse flower display lasts and lasts from spring until the first frost. Although small, each abundant bloom features 30 - 35 petals apiece! They'll amaze you with their sheer numbers!

These fun and flirty blooms grow abundantly on a dense Rose bush. The blooms are perfectly set off with the lustrous, dark green foliage. You'll need to pick up several vases, as they'll be plenty of flower clusters to cut for indoor decorations. Try tiny bud vases for individual blooms or add entire sprays of blooms in larger arrangements. Even after filling your bouquets, there will still be plenty of blooms left outdoors for your many pollinators that are sure to drop by for a visit!

You'll be forgiven if you fall head over heels for these pretty plants. But don't worry, your love affair won't keep you up at night, nor is this little gem high-maintenance. Drift® Roses are a cross between full-size Groundcover Roses and Miniatures. These tough, winter-hardy, repeat bloomers are a mix of the best of both parents and all the adaptability you'd expect from a modern Rose bush! You'll definitely appreciate their compact size and adaptability throughout all of the USDA hardiness zones 4 through 11!

Planting and Application:

Once these space-saving Roses are established in a sunny spot in your landscape, you'll have months of blooms for very little effort. There is nothing like a Sweet Drift® Groundcover Rose to soften the look of your garden edges and polish the look of your plantings.

Try Sweet Drift® as a groundcover, mass planting, on a slope or hillside, or as a border planting easing the transition between lawn and garden! Have fun with the interplay between a streamlined modern "hardscape" and the lush look of the Sweet Drift® Rose. To fill a wide, open area, plant them 24 inches apart on center. Measure from the center of one to the center of the next.

This shade of pink partners so well with other flowering shrubs and perennials. You'll be pleased with how well they suit so many different garden styles, as well. Gentrify the look of a naturalized Prairie Garden and soften a Rock Garden. Or, pop them into a Cottage Garden here and there to boost the flower power all season long. They'll decorate your pool deck without a care in the world.

Use several along the sunny side of mature evergreen trees and shrubs for an instant decorator touch. Use a long row of them as an easy-care foundation planting. Try Sweet Drift as a groundcover, mass planting, on a slope or hillside, as a border, or as a container plant.

Don't forget to include these hard-working nectar sources at the corners of your Victory Garden! They'll support local pollinators from spring through fall! Sweet Drift® looks fantastic as a spiller and filler in your sunny patio garden pots, or accenting specimen plantings on your front porch, they're the ideal container plant!

#ProPlantTips for Care:

No matter where you are in the country, chances are excellent you'll have terrific success with these pretty Drift® Roses. They take extreme cold, humidity, and even scorching high temps. Plant in full sun locations where they will receive at least 6 hours of sunlight a day. Give them well-drained soil that won't retain water for long.

It's best to supply a medium amount of water on a regular basis. Add a thick layer of mulch over the root system to keep it cool and moist. Use a container, or mound up additional soil 18 inches above your native soil line if you suffer from poor drainage. Plant your Rose directly in that mound. Apply an organic, slow-release fertilizer in early spring and again in mid-summer. Follow the instructions on the label, and you'll give your plant support to keep the pretty blooms coming for you.

Prune in early spring by simply cutting back last year's growth to 12 inches. Remove any broken, crossing, or winter-damaged branches at that time. Wear gloves though, as those thorns aren't kidding around. Read all you need about pruning Roses, winterizing Roses, and un-wintering them in spring in our Garden Blog!
