How to Use First Editions Coral Crème Drop Phlox in the Landscape

Possibly the world's most perfect edging plant, consider running a light-hearted ribbon of color to polish up your foundation plantings and garden borders. Plant them 12 inches apart on center.

You'll gain such a nice pop of happy color from early summer through all without having to worry about it. Greet your guests in fun, relaxed style with their brilliant blooms.

These compact plants will even do their best to add life to "ho hum" areas of your yard. Create a new bed to the south of mature evergreens and plant multiple in a mass planting.

If you prefer a Cottage Garden, mix and match with several of our incredible pollinator perennials in an easy-breeze mixed garden. Keep Candy Store Coral Crème Drop Phlox near the edge, so you can see it!

You can also grow their scented flowers in containers to turn your balcony into a fragrant paradise. No need to miss out on their color, even if you are renting.

Container-grown plants can come back year after year with proper hydration. This plant is rated for extreme cold, and should be fine overwinter. (Cover with a row cover blanket in Zone 3!)

These warm-toned plants partner so well with contrasting blue blooms of Bluebeard and Baptisia. Use a series of stylish Arctic Blue Roses as an extraordinary backdrop for a marvelous color play.

You could dress them up with black-toned foliage shrubs like Tuxedo Weigela. Hide any leggy bare stems with their lush, low-growing form.

Or, keep them company with other brightly hued flowers from pink through orange all the way to yellow. Go as bold as you want. Why not gift the world some intensely saturated happiness?

Add their durable flower power to Butterfly Gardens. Their fragrant flowers would also make a great addition to Victory Gardens to bring beneficial pollinators for larger harvests.

They even work well in tough sites like Rock Gardens. Commercial property owners...take note of these attention-grabbing small perennials.

#ProPlantTips for Care

Phlox needs full sun. Please give them at least six hours of sun a day.

Well-drained soil that doesn't stay soggy for long is also important. Elevate your planting in heavy soil types by planting in a mounded heap of extra soil, or raised bed.

Apply water on a regular schedule for best performance. Container-grown plants need careful watering, including a long soak in fall.

Add a three-inch layer of mulch over the root system. Please pull it back to avoid having it touch the stems.

Easy care Phlox can be pruned to the ground in late fall. Or...if you don't get a chance to get it done, you can do it in late winter or early spring, too.

These popular plants sell out quickly for us. Please place your order for Candy Store Coral Crème Drop Phlox today!
