Compact Shrub with Bright Lemon Yellow Flowers

Gold Tide Forsythia is a dwarf, deciduous shrub.  Grow a few as foundation plants, or en masse on a slope or natural area for a more dramatic effect.

Your Gold Tide Forsythia bursts into spring with a “gold tide” of yellow brilliance so early in the season that its foliage still hasn’t appeared.  The diminutive, bell-shaped flowers create quite a show as they appear in abundance amid the bare branches.  Ovate, green leaves will soon fill out your Gold Tide for summer, so it presents a pleasing appearance throughout the season.

With its compact, spreading shape, your Gold Tide Forsythia typically grows to only 30 inches tall but spreads to as much as 4 feet wide.  It has an attractive, mounded form if left to grow naturally, but is easy to prune if you prefer to take a hand in its shaping.

Its best flower production is in full sun, but it will tolerant other conditions and a variety of soils.  There aren’t any disease or insect issues to be concerned with, and deer tend to leave it alone.

If you’re looking for a hardy, little shrub that will make a dramatic spring impression, Gold Tide Forsythia is one that is perfect for the job.

* Spring flowers
* Compact form
* Disease & insect resistant
