Modern Screaming Neon™ Red Rose is part of the Easy Elegance® line and was developed as an "own-root" Rose with great disease resistance to mildew and black spot! It's far hardier than many other varieties and can withstand harsh conditions with ease year after year in USDA growing zones 4 through 9!

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Plant Screaming Neon™ Red Shrub Roses in full, all-day sun if you have it. They need at least six hours of direct sun a day. Keep them in tip-top shape with good airflow and well-drained soil. Create an elevated planted bed to improve drainage; and keep containers raised up on bricks or clay pot feet. Be sure to add Nature Hills Root Booster while planting to give these long-lived shrubs life-long support. Beneficial ingredients, such as mycorrhizal fungus, work tirelessly to help the tiny feeder roots access micronutrients and moisture.

Please keep your flowering Roses hydrated with a moderate amount of water on a regular schedule. Mulch keeps the roots cool and moist, but make sure you pull it away from touching the stems. Follow the label instructions on a good Rose fertilizer for flowering plants to feed your Roses. It's best to keep lawn fertilizers away from your Roses!

Remove fallen leaves in late autumn and bag them in your lawn waste. Prune in early spring down to eight inches tall, and know that these "own root" Shrub Roses grow right back after hard pruning and will keep your Rose roughly 2-3 feet high and wide. Read about pruning Roses Here, and about winterizing Roses here, and un-wintering Roses in spring in our #ProPlantTips Garden Blog!
