Dance the day away, add this dancing partner to your garden! Proven Winners® and Nature Hills is happy to introduce the Rock 'N Low™ Boogie Woogie Sedum, (Sedum x 'Boogie Woogie'), is one of the most versatile plants around! This cute groundcover swings with slender, creamy white borders on dark green foliage with notched edges!
Boogie Woogie is only 6-8 inches tall but spreads into rounded, low-growing mounds up to 18 inches wide. Add this beautiful variegated Sedum to your garden and enjoy the sunshine that will follow! Your neighbors will stop to gaze at this plant that does it all yet never complains!
The star-shaped cheerful lemon-yellow flowers shimmy into your garden mid-summer and will be smothered in hungry bees and butterflies but are rabbit-resistant. They are also seaside/salt tolerant! Boogie Woogie is an amazing low-maintenance plant that will always put its best foot forward! Also known as Stonecrop, Sedum grown in the warmer hardiness zones of USDA growing zones 3 to 9 can be evergreen.
Small but mighty they are a great selection for your Rock Garden. What a statement they will make showing off how hardy they are in the sunny dry areas in your garden! They love the hot, dry weather.
Use them as an effective "filler" in your exterior container plantings and patio container gardens. They'll draw the eye, and add dramatic low-growing color. You can gift them as an easy-care, sun-loving exterior container plant potted up in Cactus mix.
Boogie Woogie is an amazing low-maintenance plant that will always put its best foot forward! This low-spreading Sedum forms a solid mat of foliage that will give your garden the beautiful coverage it deserves! Use on slopes, banks, borders, mass plantings, and in container combinations and everywhere in your sunny garden that you need a little brightness!
Sedum is listed as a Firewise plant for many states and is a perfect choice to decorate the defensible space around your home and other structures. Sedums are also great for water-wise, Xeriscape gardens!
All day sun, every day is just fine, but be sure these perennials get at least 6 hours of direct sun a day. To thrive, give Stonecrop very well-drained soil because soggy conditions will rot their roots. They'll grow in rough stuff, including sharply drained, sandy soils. For young plants, you'll want to water them regularly because their roots are getting established in your soil that first season. All plants appreciate a 3-4 inch thick layer of arborist mulch around their roots. Perform a gentle cleanup of dried foliage in early spring with a very light raking or by hand to avoid damage.
Your sun-loving plants will welcome this little dancer with arms wide open! Remember to order yours today at Nature Hills Nursery and enjoy having Proven Winners® Rock 'N Low™ Boogie Woogie Sedum delivered to your doorstep!
Also known as Stonecrop, Sedum need full sun for the most flowers and very well-drained soil. Provide moderate, regular moisture and fertility. Prune down in the very early spring.
Sedum are reliable perennials so long as they have well-drained soil year-round.
Sedum are herbaceous perennials that will lose their leaves after frost and die back to the ground. They leave behind ornamental dried flowers and stems for winter interest. In spring, they regrow from their root systems anew!
Stonecrop or Sedum will not spread or become invasive, staying put where it's planted as low-growing mounding plants.
