Love that marvelous rich, dark purple that is so popular these days? Imagine growing clusters of deliciously fragrant and very double blooms of Grandiflora Twilight Zone™ (Rosa 'WEKebtidere' PP #24,725). They look fresh and modern with over 40 deep velvet purple petals overlaid by a wisp of smoke.

Planting and Application:

Grow Twilight Zone Rose in the ground or keep them as "Thrillers" in outdoor containers. Decorate your foundation planting, or let their showy, luxurious color boost the good vibes on your balcony! You'll have the deepest purple hue in temperate climates.

  • Twilight Zone is a wonderfully fragrant Rose to use near a doorway, garden gate or window. You'll want to bottle the fabulous scent of clove mixed with fresh lemon!
  • Make a big statement with these compact Rose bushes by planting a long hedge along the front walk. Plant them 30 inches apart on center; measuring from the center of one to the center of the next.
  • With this reblooming cultivar, you'll have plenty of five-inch blooms for cut flower arrangements. Cutting the blooms regularly will encourage faster rebloom!
  • These lavish purple blooms become a living study in gorgeous geometry. Please consider them a "plant pet" and study their development as a fun focal point.
  • Mix Twilight Zone Rose into a garden bed with rougher textures like Juniper, Hydrangea and Coneflower for an energetic contrast. Don't forget some groundcover Sedum to bring the look together!

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Select a sunny site for this beautiful Grandiflora Rose hybridized by Tom Carruth. Please give Roses well-drained soil, good air flow and a regular schedule of water.

  • You'll see expert planting advice on our Planting Guide. Be sure to add Nature Hills Root Booster to your planting hole for life-long symbiotic support.
  • Roses as large and floriferous as Twilight Zone need extra nutrition. Fertilizer with a good Rose formula according to the label directions.
  • In autumn, rake up, bag and dispose of the fallen leaf litter. In early spring, prune all the canes down to six inches.
