Planting Pros Recommend:

The Shiny Dancer® Viburnum (Viburnum x 'NCVX1') is a beautiful compact plant that is known for its waxy, shiny, leaves that are deep green and heavily veined. Spring features lovely reddish new growth that's delightfully shiny, wide and showy, they are accented by red stems! Welcome fall with burgundy-tinged leaves in the autumn! Your Viburnum plant will bloom in mid-spring with small white flowers that just complete this plant. Viburnum flowering plants are loved by many gardeners.

In spring, your shrub will be adorned with darling white button buds that open to flat-topped clusters of gorgeous blooms that pollinators and butterflies adore! The summer foliage can also take on some burgundy overtones for a lovely effect! This easy-to-grow, adaptable ornamental features persistent dark red fruit when planted among other Viburnum varieties.

Extremely resistant to deer, you won't need to worry about them munching on the beautiful leaves! The Shiny Dancer® Viburnum grows best in the warmer USDA growing zones 6-8. In many of those climates, these gorgeous leaves are semi-evergreen through mild winter! Growing to a neat rounded 3-5 feet mature height and width, you and your wildlife, songbirds and pollinators will all appreciate these shrubs!

Planting and Application:

This particular Viburnum can grow from about 3 to 5 feet tall and wide. This means they can be a gorgeous plant to place on your porch or used as a great border. Excellent hedges and backdrops, anything planted before them become a part of the glossy display! These are of course fantastic shrubs for specimen and mass planting use, whereas a single accent or large swath are equally as eye-catching!

The semi-evergreen foliage adds privacy and screening while protecting you and your songbirds from wind and prying eyes! Groupings create a wildlife habitat that deer seem to avoid while pollinators and hummingbirds arrive in droves to sip the nectar of the blooms!
