Prepare to be fascinated with the incredible display of the wild purple and white petals of Purple Tiger Rose (Rosa 'Jacpurr'). Held in clusters, no two blooms are alike; and we bet you've never seen anything like the streaks, stripes and flecks of this Floribunda Rose!

With up to 40 petals per bloom, Purple Tiger Rose bush adds a very dynamic presentation to enjoy in the garden or in outdoor containers. This is especially true because the roses emit a lusciously strong citrus fragrance.

Planting and Application:

Hybridized by Jack Christensen, these special decorative double blooms are said to produce the deepest purple shades in cooler zones. Wherever you live, you'll encourage faster rebloom if you gather clusters regularly for amazing cut flower arrangements!

  • Try compact Purple Tiger Rose as a wonderful specimen in a tiny, sunny garden. Go ahead and spend time talking to your Rose...it becomes a "plant pet" to love on.
  • Take a walk on the wild side by mixing Purple Tiger into your mixed garden beds. Run several of them near the edge of your sunny border for an incredible look.
  • Give this as a charming present to someone you love. Order any time of year, and we will ship directly to them when the time is right for planting in their area.
  • For a bold landscape accent, try several Purple Tiger Roses massed in an oversize container. Create several matching containers and space them evenly apart for a sleek modern effect with fragrant "living aromatherapy"!.

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Give Roses full sun and rich, well-drained soil for the best results. Always add Nature Hills Root Booster to the planting hole for a life-long symbiotic support.

  • Your Rose will need a consistent schedule of water, please. Apply a high-quality Rose fertilizer, and follow the instructions on the label for timing and application rates.
  • Use mulch over the top of the root zone, but keep it away from directly touching the stems. Roses need air circulation to stay healthy!
  • In autumn, bag and dispose of all the leaf litter from under your plants. In spring, prune all canes down to six inches at a 45-degree angle above a nice, fat bud.
