Feeling creative? Add Chihuly® Rose (Rosa 'WEKscemala') to your garden this season!

You and your guests will be amazed at the impeccable style. Bear witness to an ever-changing array of flashy colors.

Dale Chihuly uses molten glass to express his big ideas. His flowing, vibrant glass artwork is truly inspired, and so is this special hybridized Rose from Tom Carruth.

Be fascinated by the color play from the bright yellow petals that blush to orange and finish deep red on this high impact Rose variety. Like the versatile artwork of Chihuly himself, these roses are streaked and touched here and there with warm apricots, dazzling orange and even deep red.

Every walk in your garden can be like visiting a museum! Cut sprays regularly for lovely indoor arrangements.

At a distance, Chihuly Rose reads as rich, warm yellow. But up close, the painterly blend becomes a living interpretation of the flowing glass pieces that are loved by so many.

Like the effective scaffolding that holds up a Chihuly glass installation, thick green foliage acts as a perfect support for the beautiful streaked petals. Chihuly foliage stays clean with very modern disease resistance to black spot and powdery mildew.

How to Use Chihuly® Rose in the Landscape

Please push the design envelope when using this in your landscape. These striped Roses deserve a special place of honor.

Get people talking about this amazing Rose by using it as a bold hedge along your front walkway. Or create a twisting-turning garden path with other unique plants like evergreen Slenderina Weeping Blue Spruce and the fun springtime lollipops of Allium bulbs.

Fill a bare sunny area in your yard with bold, bright color. This is a wonderfully rugged, upright rounded bush and can be massed in staggered, zig-zagging rows.

Delight the local butterflies with their nectar. Reblooming in flushes through the season, you'll help support beneficial pollinators, too!

Another interesting way to use this top choice is to create a Destination Spot in your landscape. Then tuck it into a secluded sunny corner as a floral reward for taking the unexpected path.

This would be a perfect focal point in a Meditation Garden. Keep it in containers to decorate your balcony Yoga studio.

Let your inner artist create something enchantingl! Be bold in your garden design, just as Dale Chihuly uses glass in a completely innovative way.

#ProPlantTips for Care

Plant Roses in full sun with at least six hours of direct sunlight a day. Please ensure the soil drains quickly after rain...Rose roots don't tolerate standing water.

If you have heavy soil that stays soggy for a long time, improve your drainage. Elevate them in a raised bed or keep them in containers.

Dig your planting hole twice as wide as the roots, but no deeper. Keep the soil level the same as we have grown in at the nursery.

Supply Chihuly Roses with a consistent schedule of watering for best results. This is especially true for container-grown plants.

Mulch helps keep the root zone cool. Please add a three-inch layer around your plant, then pull it back away from touching the canes. In late November when your Roses have been exposed to killing frosts it is a great idea to mound the stems up with some additional mulch for overwintering (especially important in the colder zones). Always wait to prune Roses until spring when you pull the mulch away.

Feed your Roses specialty Rose fertilizer. Please follow the label directions for application rates and timing.

Bag and remove all leaf litter in fall. In early spring, prune each of the Rose canes down to 6 - 8 inches at a 45-degree angle just above a nice, fat bud.

Don't miss your chance to show off your artistic side. Chihuly Rose makes you look good...and it's a marvelous partner for other flowers, too.
