#ProPlantTips For Care

Two-fer® Rose Trees love full sun, growing stronger stems and bountiful blooms. However, Brilliant Pink Iceberg & Iceberg Rose combo also works in part-sun as well (but you'll have fewer flowers)! Be sure to provide that important morning sun to dry the leaves each day of dew and afternoon shade to protect them from the scorching summer sun!

Thriving in USDA growing zones 5 through 9, these appreciate a thick layer of mulch over the root system to keep them cool and keep moisture levels higher, especially in the hotter growing zones. If you live in a colder region, giving this Rose Tree some protection during the coldest parts of the year too!

For Two-fer® Roses, consistent, moderately moist soil is a must during that crucial established period, for the longevity and health of these plants, Roses do not tolerate drying out or sitting in water. Very well-drained sites are required to keep your Rose Tree healthy and blooming. To keep your blooms looking their best, amend the soil with compost and rich, organic material.

Disease resistant and seldom damaged by deer or rabbits.

Rose Tree Care & Pruning

Prune back each winter when dormant, or very early spring before you see new growth to increase branching and fullness. Some winter protection for Tree Form Roses is suggested for the cooler zones by overwintering your Rose in an unheated garage after it goes dormant, or outside with a straw and burlap wrap. Then in spring, take it back out or unwrap it and trim the head back to about a 12" sphere just as it begins to grow again in spring.

Early each spring, after the last frost of the year has passed, it's always a good idea to prune back the Rose tree several inches to maintain the nice round form atop its trunk. Keep new blooms returning with occasional deadheading, quickly improving your overall display.

Prune away suckers and branching that forms at the base or on the trunk each year too. Pruning Roses allows for better, bushier growth each year and stimulates new growth. Read all you need about pruning Roses, winterizing Rosesand un-wintering Roses in spring in our #ProPlantTips Garden Blog!
