This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Growing Zones 7-10 (all zones as a houseplant)
Purple Shamrocks (Oxalis triangularis) are going to be a delightful houseplant, patio planter, or garden addition this year if you are looking for a purple-foliaged flowering accent plant! Delicate-looking clover-like leaves arrive in deep dark purple and are adorned in bright white, miniature trumpet-like flowers that butterflies adore! You will love the subtle plum chevron on each triangular leaf!
Although Oxalis is a perennial, this plant blooms like an annual from late spring to early fall if kept moist. These are annuals outdoors but can be brought inside for the winter as houseplants. Purple Oxalis does not set viable seeds, so there's no need to fear that it will become a nuisance in the garden. It is a prolific grower and bloomer with beautiful foliage and plenty of dainty blossoms!
Planting and Application:
Purple Shamrocks form a low mound that is the perfect size for edging or container fillers! Like many Oxalis, the leaves of this variety close up at night or when light levels are very low, adding motion and kid-friendly elements to your garden!
This variety has been used in southern gardens for many years. Oxalis plants are used as edging, along the fronts of garden borders, pollinator and walkway gardens, Rock Gardens, and in containers on porches or patios! Mass these easy-going plants for drifts and groupings of color in sun or part shade!
- Deep Purple Clover-Like Leaves
- Plum Chevron Accents
- White Trumpet-Shaped Blooms
- Lovely Mounded Form
- Accents, Container Fillers, Garden Focal Points & Edging
#ProPlantTips for Care:
Purple Shamrocks are root hardy in USDA growing zones 7-8 but make great houseplants or annual accents in cooler growing zones. Growing into low mounds only 6 in height and spreading into loose mounds 6-8 inches wide, they’re remarkably easy to grow! Provide full sun to partial shade for these fast-growing plants. During the growing season, and should receive consistent, moderate moisture and these are heavy feeders. Container-grown plants should be kept just moist when dormant.
