Heucherella is a perennial with a low and horizontal growth pattern that makes the plants a good candidate for groundcover. Heucherella is also known as foamy bells. This is because it was created through cross-breeding Heuchera (coral bells) with Tiarella (foamflower). Heucherella varieties often keep a similar growth habit to tiarella. The foliage shape and the flowers blend the traits of both parents. Foamy bells generally thrive in well-drained soil and in areas that are shaded or with some filtered sun light. The relatively small foamy bells plant will add a huge stroke of color to the shaded areas of your landscape.
