The Lo & Behold® Blue Chip Butterfly Bush

Keep your local butterflies happy with a Lo & Behold® Blue Chip Butterfly Bush (Buddleia davidii 'Blue Chip Lo and Behold' PP 19,991). This pretty shrub will please your butterflies, your local hummingbirds, and anyone else who feasts their eyes on its lovely blue and purple flowers. This compact shrub grows in a mounded structure, so it will fill your garden with beauty upward and outward. Just be careful: you may love this non-invasive as much as the butterflies do!

This miniature Buddleia was the first in a series of stunning butterfly bushes with a long-lasting blooming season. You can anticipate spikes of flowers from summer through late fall. These lovely bluish-purple flowers are both gorgeous and fragrant.

And luckily, you won't have to work too hard to enjoy these reblooming blossoms! You don't need to prune your Lo and Behold Blue Chip Butterfly Bush or deadhead it. You will want to cut it back to the ground before spring, though. A later winter cutting helps ensure the best performance and best flowers.

We're not the only ones that think this plant is a winner. It's won the Best New Plant in several competitions, a "showstopper" award, and even a gold medal!

Like most butterfly favorites, this deciduous plant is drought tolerant and not on any deer's menu of favorite snacks. The Lo & Behold Blue Chip Butterfly Bush grows well in medium to dry soil but won't thrive in wet conditions. Plant this shrub in full sun.

This fun and lively plant makes a spectacular groundcover. Plant a few around your butterfly garden to attract butterflies and hummingbirds! This stunning miniature plant will also make a dainty and special patio or balcony container plant.

The Lo & Behold Blue Chip Butterfly Bush can help keep your garden ecosystem healthy with all the winged creatures it'll attract. If you're looking for a pretty shrub with a fun personality, this plant has your name all over it. Order today!
