First Editions® Little Hottie® Hydrangea (Hydrangea paniculata 'Bailpanone' PP32,549) is covered in big white fluffy blooms all summer! A florist and a butterflies dream, these big clusters of florets emerge green and open into pure sparkling white. They smother the round ball of greenery for you to enjoy until fall when they turn tan and dry on the stems.

This well-branched, compact panicle Hydrangea is covered in large blooms from the bottom to the top of the plant and holds tight flower clusters out on strong stems. With natural basal branching, this new introduction doesn't need much pruning in production or the landscape to grow into a well-shaped plant with strong stems!

Little Hottie® Hydrangea is very cold tolerant! Hardy down to zone 3 and up to zone 8, these adaptable shrubs maintain a midsized rounded form that’s 3 - 5 feet in height and width. However, bred in Georgia for heat tolerance, Little Hottie® performs equally well in Minnesota! The flowers don't get heat-stressed or turn brown in excessive heat.

Planting and Application:

Little Hottie® is a perfect mid-sized hedge that light up the landscape with their long bloom time and lush greenery! For gorgeous property definition that won’t shrink in the heat, plant rows or banks of Hydrangea along your home's foundation, driveways and side yard for a classic curb appeal effect!

Anchor and accent mixed borders, or use as a fantastic backdrop to your perennial borders, these are traditional additions for updated Cottage borders and cutting gardens! Bring armloads of blooms indoors for your bouquets, or let them dry on the plant for dried décor or winter interest!

  • Big White Flower Clusters
  • Won’t Brown in the Heat
  • Big Green Leaves
  • Hedges & Accents
  • Heat & Cold Hardy

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Hydrangea care is easy and these are low-maintenance flowering shrubs. Preferring full sun for more numerous blooms and stronger stems, however those shrubs planted in hotter growing zones appreciate afternoon shade for relief from the afternoon sun and heat. Provide consistent moisture for best results and mulch the root zone well.

  • Full Sun & Partial Shade
  • Mulched Beds for Moisture Retention
  • Average Consistent Moisture Needs
  • Organically Enriched Well-Drained, Moist Soil
  • Prune in Early Spring, Before New Growth Starts
