Dramatic Cascading Hearts Weeping Redbud (Cercis canadensis 'Cascading Hearts') stays small, but makes a beautifully bold garden feature in either full sun or partial shade. This upright grower has fantastic, drooping limbs and downturned branchlets. . .making the Cascading Hearts Redbud tree look charming in every season!

Like other Redbuds, you'll glory in it's incredible display of gorgeous lavender-pink flowers in very early spring. The blooms cover the bare wood before the leaves come out, even growing down along the length of the trunk.

Planting and Application:

As the new growing season progresses, tiny leaves emerge dressed in a reddish hue. They'll unfurl and mature to dark green, heart-shaped foliage held on long petioles to dance in the summer breezes.

  • Place petite Cascading Hearts Redbud tree in a prominent spot and uplight with exterior lighting for a showy nighttime look. Cascading Hearts works hard in your garden design and fits perfectly in courtyards or tiny yards.
  • Keep one or more in oversized containers for many years! Use a lightweight resin pot on balconies for a glamorous outdoor display.
  • Put them to work as a showy backdrop for your mixed border. Space them eight feet apart on center, measuring from the center of one to the center of the next.
  • Even though this cultivar is a selection of a North American native tree, weeping Cascading Hearts brings a flowing, Asian sensibility to your space. Place one or a trio at the far end of a pond to be reflected in the rippling water.
  • They also make a gorgeous winding ribbon of color along the edge of a woodland. You and your guests will appreciate their organic style. . .don't forget to add rustic benches and seating to fully enjoy their visual impact.

#ProPlantTips for Care:
