Landscape designers know that one of the most important elements in successful garden design is mystery. There needs to be something in the garden that sparks a sense of wonder. Mystic Magenta Crape Myrtle (Lagerstroemia 'Mystic Magenta') is an introduction from the famous Black Diamond line that definitely brings the mystery to your home garden.

This garden stunner will stand out no matter where you put it in your landscape. It is a great foundation plant, a perfect fence border or flowering hedge and a real eye-popper in a large container on the patio.

The magenta-pink blooms really stand out against the black foliage. They are so full and ruffled you won't think they are real. This intermediate Crape Myrtle blooms from spring through fall. It can be pruned shorter if you want. It makes a show-stopping flowering hedge, especially in the south.

Mystic Magenta has excellent resistance to powdery mildew and is drought tolerant once it is established. The flowers are almost irridescent - they'll simply GLOW in either sun or shade. This variety makes an absolutely magnificent presentation.

In Zone 6, this versatile plant will behave as a perennial in the ground, and regrow from the roots in the spring. Simply trim off any old wood in spring to prepare for new growth. Gardeners in colder Zones can try this as an incredible "Thriller" in seasonal container gardens. Try moving the container - 12" or larger - into an unheated garage for the winter. You might be surprised to see this exotic plant regrow from the roots the next year - even in Zones 3 - 5.

In Zones 7 - 10, this plant is a super easy, low-maintenance beauty. No matter where you live, or where you use it - it will add the perfect touch of color and mystery to your garden! Don't hesitate, order this beauty today!
