Six weeks of beautiful blooms!

If you’ve ever visited a formal garden in early summer, you’ve probably come away with big garden dreams and then get home and are hit with the reality of small garden space. You don’t have a grand formal garden and you don’t have the gardening staff to take care of your garden either. But wow, some of those flowers were spectacular! Where can you start to get just a little bit of that feeling of a grand garden estate at home?

Start here, with the Bartzella Itoh Peony (Paeonia x 'Bartzella'). Itoh peonies are a cross between a herbaceous and a tree peony, a feat which proved rather difficult. (The first crosses were began in the 1950’s, but it wasn’t until 1980 that Bartzella was bred and the first blooms weren’t seen until 1986. Definitely worth the wait, though!)

Dozens of huge (9”) sunshine yellow flowers with red flaming centers are born on strong plants for up to 6 weeks in the summer…and every summer thereafter for a LONG time. (These peonies can live 50 years or more!) They are spectacularly classy in the border and in the vase. This is the kind of flower that makes people want to have your garden!

We only have a limited supply of these, so make sure you order many and you order early. Once we’re sold out, we’re sold out. Yellow is such a rare color in peonies. Please don’t miss out on this wonderful treat!
