This barberry's leaves are ovular and graphic. They transform from a bright crimson to a deep red-violet throughout the growing season.

You can expect the Admiration Barberry to light up with petite, cherry-red berries in the fall and precious pink to yellow blooms through summer and into fall.

With a compact, mounding form, the Admiration Barberry makes a delightful and manageable choice as a front border, small colorful accent, or a foundation planting that pops. You can also use these vibrant shrubs as a low hedge that thrives on slopes and embankments. Best of all, the Admiration Barberry doesn't grow above knee-height and grows at a slow rate, making it easy to maintain, rarely needing shaping or trimming.

Your Admiration Barberry will do best with full sun, can tolerate partial shade but the foliage color will not be quite as brilliantly colored. It also prefers well-drained soil. This is a set-it-and-forget-it shrub that rarely needs to be watered after getting established.

Are you looking for a highly colorful shrub that will warrant the admiration of neighbors and garden on-lookers? The Admiration Barberry is ready to light up your garden and earn your admiration. Order enough to create a dazzling hedge now.
