Carefree and Showy Broadleaved Evergreen!

Versatility is the hallmark of the gorgeous Scarlet Bottlebrush (Callistemon citrinus). These vibrant shrubs can be pruned into small patio or street trees, used as specimen or massed into flowering screen hedges. These highly popular, carefree and wonderfully dramatic plants that reach 15 feet tall in 10 years.

The leathery gray-green foliage gives Scarlet Bottlebrush a thick but airy feel year-round. Of course, they aren’t named Scarlet Bottlebrush because of their leaves! They are named for their profusion of flowers that bloom constantly in temperate areas. The showy flowers are carmine-red and fluffy and make a tropical statement in the garden.

They love the sun and tolerate just about any soil mix you can throw at them, so you don’t have to be fussy about where you place them (as long as it’s not complete shade - they need full sun to give you the rich flowering effect you want.)

The flowers look lovely in a vase, too, so plant them where you can pick a few to bring indoors. Scarlet Bottlebrush looks especially nice with other Mediterranean and waterwise-type plants such as Agave, Strawberry Tree, Sedum, Aloe and Maiden Grass.

They give you buckets of blooms with very little work required. Order yours today!
