  • Scented Double White Flowers Have Wonderful Citrus Fragrance
  • Blooms in Early Summer
  • Low Maintenance, Compact Flowering Shrub
  • Easy to Grow
  • Beautiful in Containers
  • Widely Adaptable
  • Extremely Cold Hardy

For a fantastic early summertime display, tuck dwarf Snowbelle Mock Orange (Philadelphus 'Snowbelle') here and there throughout your landscape. It is a very cold hardy variety first developed in Canada. Imagine enjoying a shorter and more compact plant that is simply loaded with clusters of deeply fragrant, double, pure white blossoms in the late spring or early summer. Heaven!

The charming flowers smell like orange blossoms. This flowering shrub is a treasure for property owners in Zones 4 - 8. The dark green foliage makes a perfect contrast to the snow white blooms.

Small enough to grow in a large outdoor container, Snowbelle is ideal for smaller gardens. With a tidy, compact profile, this handsome, low growing cultivar exhibits exceptional heat and cold tolerance.

Mock Orange has many uses in the landscape. After blooming and pruning, the plant grows full to the ground and blends well into the surrounding landscape with its rich green summer foliage.

Because it is so noted for its fragrance, we recommend planting it under a kitchen or bedroom window, near your entryways, walkways, driveways or in a patio container. Plant it where you'll enjoy its beauty and experience the fragrance of the flower.

Don't miss out on this amazing scent! Order Snowbelle for your yard this year.

How to Use Snowbelle Mock Orange in the Landscape

Low hedges help define your garden space. Use several Snowbelles along the length of your patio, or up the front sidewalk. Plant them 2 feet apart on center to create a solid hedge. Measure from the center of one to the center.

Your guests and neighbors will thank you! That delicious citrus scent perfumes your neighborhood in bloom.

Soften up existing landscaping with these small flowering shrubs. Snowbelles can be added on the sunny side of Lilac bushes or tall evergreen trees. Mix with other later flowering plants, like Roses, to add color and fragrance to your garden.

Plant in the ground or use in large outdoor containers that match your homes exterior for a coordinating boost of style.

Gardening can be such a personal experience. Love fairy houses? Have kids or grandkids? Create a special tiny focal point in a Secret Garden. Try a cute little Snowbelle as a backdrop for Miniature Roses and add a child-sized table and chairs and fun outdoor accessories. They'll play out there for hours!

Butterflies love the pristine white blooms, too. Get older kids involved with a sparkly pen, special notebook and identification book to track all the flying visitors to their yard.

Or, go bold with large outdoor containers on either side of your front yard. Snowbelle is a perfect fit for a year-round Thriller. Style it any way you like. Run drip irrigation on a timer to keep it really easy for yourself. (Although kids really love to water container plants, too....)

#ProPlantTips for Care

Snowbelle is a multi-stemmed plant that grows upright. Train your shrubs to produce plenty of side branches with a yearly pruning right after the flowers fade.

Do a simple pinching back after the flowers are finished to encourage lateral buds to develop. This will help your shrub develop a full, bushy growth habit over time. Simply snip off the last few inches of every branch; it should take you about 5 minutes.

Let's face it. If doing that little garden job gives you more of those luscious flowers next year, it's worth it!

You can also do a hard pruning every 5 years or so to take most of the growth off at ground level after flowering. It might seem extreme, but you'll soon see new growth coming from the crown of the plant. A regularly scheduled hard pruning keeps your Snowbelle shrub tightly compact and rejuvenated.

Snowbelle Mock Orange is adaptable to many soil types, but they must be well-drained. If you see puddles that remain long after a rainstorm, add soil in a heaped mound 18 - 24 inches above the lay of your land. Plant directly in that mound.

Give it a spot in full sun or partial shade. In Zones 7 and 8, it may do best in morning sun and afternoon shade. Mulch the plant to 3 to 4 inches deep and spread mulch out 3 feet from the outside of the canopy. This will keep the root system cool and cut down on surface evaporation.

Provide a moderate amount of water on a regular basis. When planted properly, the plant can tolerate brief periods of drought, and it is deer resistant. This carefree beauty has no real pest or disease problems.

You deserve the bountiful flower power and incredible tropical scent of this low-growing landscape shrub. Enjoy high quality Snowbelle Mock Orange shrubs from Nature Hills this year. Order today!
