The lush Proven Winners® Color Choice® Let's Dance® Moonlight Hydrangea PP#20020 (Hydrangea macrophylla 'Robert') is a new series that represents the next generation of reblooming Hydrangea! You'll dance in delight yourself once these beauties bloom in your garden! These floriferous varieties bloom on both new wood and old, which creates an incredible display of color.
The bloom color is a rich pink that ages to bright green. Let's Dance® Moonlight Hydrangea is a strong repeat bloomer with large, richly-hued blossoms that can become blue depending upon the pH of your soil. The mophead flowers are held on sturdy stems that won't flop and they're backed by quilted deep green leaves. Those strong stems make them incredible in the bouquet or floral arrangement for indoor decor.
Moonlight is a Bigleaf Hydrangea that has a wonderful compact habit. You'll never find yourself bored with this plant at any time throughout the growing season! In autumn, the healthy foliage takes on rich bronze-red tones for additional interest late in the season. Hardy in USDA 5 through 9, the rounded shrubs form meat and today, compact mounds 2-3 feet in mature height and spread.
Planting and Application:
These are incredibly vibrant blossoms all sooner into fall, therefore deserve a garden location front and center. Plant them along your home's foundation shrubs as a face plant, or as a low hedge that defines your driveway or sidewalk. Use Hydrangea as a winding row throughout your border gardens or zigzag a few throughout a mixed shrub garden.
And the vibrant color is a focal point on its own, and really highlights cottage gardens, cutting gardens, anchors a pollinator garden and would look fantastic highlighting your mailbox so everyone driving down the street can easily find your home. Their smaller, compact size makes them fantastic to utilize as a porch or patio container plant and they will dress up your seating areas beautifully!

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Moonlight Hydrangea is very adaptable but performs best in rich, well-drained, moist soil. If you plant this hardy Hydrangea in full sun, sufficient moisture is required and a 3-4 inch layer of mulch over the soil surface. When planted in hot climates, they appreciate afternoon shade. During hot, dry summers additional watering will be required to keep it flowering. Prune Bigleaf Hydrangea in early spring as soon as you see new growth emerging, and deadhead immediately after flowering to avoid removing next years flowers. This pH-sensitive Hydrangea will be blue in acidic soil, and pink in alkaline.
- Full Sun & Part Shade
- Consistently Moist Well-Drained Soil
- Appreciated a Mulched Bed
- Prune Only Right After Flowering
- Blue in Acid & Pink in Alkaline
