The Alaska Shasta Daisy, Leucanthemum X superbum 'Alaska', is a long-living, sun-loving perennial with frilly white petals surrounding a cheery, yellow center.  This daisy is a hardy perennial that grows in neat clumps.

Maturing  to 2 feet tall, this plant is ideal for containers and borders.  The ‘Alaska Shasta’ daisy is a good cut flower, and it is suitable for dried flowers too.  The plants serve as butterfly nectar source so attracts butterflies.

The flowers begin to appear in late spring and continue on for several months.  This Shasta is easy to grow in average, well-drained soils in full sun.  Good drainage is essential for this plant.

Water ‘Alaska Shasta’ plants weekly when rainfall is less than an inch, and remove faded flower heads to encourage more blooms.

‘Alaska Shasta’ is a splendid plant for cheery cut flower arrangements, beds, borders, and containers.
