#ProPlantTips For Care

The Northblue Blueberry is completely self-fruitful. However, cross-pollination produces the best fruit crop. And who wouldn’t want more of these delectable berries? You can plant more than one Northblue or plant this with another compact Blueberry variety, such as Northcountry, for a larger crop per plant!

This Blueberry prefers acidic soil, with a pH of 4.5 - 5.5, for best plant health and fruit production. Northblue also likes organically rich, medium to moist, well-drained soil. The shallow, fibrous roots need constant moisture and good drainage, they dislike soggy soil of any kind.

Plant in full sun to part shade, preferring the leaf drying power of the morning sun and at least 5-6 hours of direct sunlight a day.

With amazing cold hardiness in USDA growing zones 4 through 8, a generous layer of mulch over the roots aids in moisture retention as well as insulating the root system.
