Spikey and soft blue-green, the Blue Glow Agave (Agave attenuata x ocahui 'Blue Glow') adds pointed rosette-shaped mounds of geometrically arranged sword-like foliage! Incredible visual interest throughout the garden or in containers that won’t be missed!

Agave are easy to grow and feature stiff foliage that grows out and up in a perfectly symmetrical sphere. Each margin and pointed edge features a fiery red border to add definition and interest to your plant. Salt tolerant and full sun-loving plants, use these in the hell-strip along the road or on coastal gardens, pollinator gardens and formal plantings.

Blue Glow sends up a beautiful flower spike that calls pollinators and hummingbirds. The evergreen foliage can be quite cold tolerant and drought resistant, thriving in poor dry soil and containers to add drama anywhere you need it.

Planting and Application:

The sharp edges and pointed spiny ends help deter unwanted foot traffic while providing wonderful architectural interest. These are fantastic plants to use as specimens or in dramatic, equally spaced rows along garden edges, driveways and as focal point plant anchors.

Perfect members of rock gardens and succulent collections, plant along the top of a retaining wall for spikey texture, or where conditions and deer can be tough on other plants!
