The Snow Queen Nectarine is a showy beauty that rewards growers with a delicious crop year after year after year. It's also well known for its beautiful display of beautiful flowers each spring.

When the Snow Queen comes into her own each spring, your neighborhood will be abuzz with talk of her beautiful pink flowers that cover every limb from top to bottom. Come harvest time, pick an abundance of fruit fresh from the tree.

The fruit of the Snow Queen Nectarine is heralded for its super sweet flavor. This is perhaps the sweetest among all nectarine varieties. A proven taste-test champion, the Snow Queen has sweet white flesh beneath its red-tinged skin.

This old-fashioned freestone nectarine tree produces juicy fruit that the whole family can love. You'll be glad to give them a sweet heaping helping of vitamins C and A.

Nothing beats the telltale aroma of fresh nectarines waiting in a fruit bowl on the counter. Enjoy Snow Queen nectarines fresh from the tree, slice them to add to a fruit salad, or add them to a crisp, tart or pie in place of peaches. Nectarines are also delicious when used for making jams and jellies, and they preserve well when canned or frozen.

Don't let another harvest season pass you by, order a Snow Queen Nectarine today!

How to Use Snow Queen Nectarine in the Landscape

If you ask us, the best way to use these nectarines is in a mass planting in the backyard to create your very own orchard.

However, if you don't have multiple acres at your disposal, planting just one in your backyard is a great option too.

There, it can serve as a gorgeous spring-flowering ornamental tree and follow later in the season with copious amounts of nectarines for your enjoyment.

Adding a Snow Queen to your landscape will leave you baking with nectarines for a long time!

#ProPlantTips for Care

The minimal care required by the Snow Queen makes it a grower's favorite. It thrives with just 25--300 chill hours, making it the perfect tree for warm climates.

Plant it in full sun, fruit trees love to bask all day long! This variety is self-pollinating but you'll find you get higher yields if it has a pollination partner.

During the growing season, make sure it gets regular watering. Especially when summers are hot and humid as that will dry the soil out quickly.

If you aren't certain if your tree is ready for a drink, use the finger test but sticking your finger into the soil at the base of the plant and checking for moisture. If it's dry, go ahead and water and if it's wet, skip for the day.

A great way to conserve water and keep the moisture even is by adding a 3-4 inch layer of mulch around the base of the trunk starting about an inch from the base. Your plant will thank you for the protection and you'll love the lack of weeds!

Regular pruning and thinning ensure consistently high yields and high-quality crops. If you'd like to learn more about pruning fruit trees, check out our blog on it here.

We promise there's nothing like biting into a freshly picked Nectarine. Get your Snow Queen Nectarine in time for planting this season. Order now!
