Considered a 'soft neck' garlic, you won't have the tough central stem that shoots up from the center of your cluster of cloves. Silvery white, thick papery skins, each with a lovely blush of pink! Featuring a mild flavor, these are versatile culinary additions!

Long-lasting in storage as well, lasting upwards of a year! Silver Rose is one of the later maturing varieties available, but that wait is well worth it! Hardy throughout USDA growing zones 4 to 9, this variety has a good 6-month storage life too!

Planting and Application:

Silver Rose Garlic is much milder and has more flavor than other varieties. No bite when used in your favorite recipes, and never overpowers your more delicately flavored dishes! Without the burn, these cloves are fantastic even when used raw!

Easy to grow and able to be planted in any sunny garden with good soil, Silver Rose can even be grown in containers and planters! You will be able to harvest the following season in late spring or early summer

Loving the full sun, Silver Rose bulbs do best in well-drained loose soil. Do not worry about squirrels or rabbits bothering your crop either! Fast-growing, this soft-neck garlic is easy to grow!

Plant the cloves (called bulbils) individually with a small portion of the bulb poking above the soil, root side down, and you'll want to plant this variety about six inches apart and two to three inches deep. Harvest when tops start to dry, clean, and store in a cool, dry location with plenty of air circulation.
