Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Growing Zones 5-8
With vivid variegated foliage, Maple trees just keep getting better! Our growers know what today's modern homeowner is looking for, and this variety really delivers! Look at these stunning leaves! Splashed with pink, orange, green, purple, and cream, the Eskimo Sunset Sycamore Maple Tree (Acer pseudoplantanus 'Esk Sunset') features highly variegated foliage that will turn heads every time!
Each leaf's underside is painted purple-maroon and the red leaf stems really create contrast! In fall, the foliage slowly turns purple as well! This is a spectacular autumn color show!
In spring, this special tree's leaves erupt as a vivid pinky orange, then slowly turn a variegated mix of ivory speckled in green. Plus it will be dripping in small greenish-yellow flowers in the spring, which are followed by winged fruits in the fall.
Hardy throughout USDA planting zones 5 to 8, Eskimo Sunset grows up to 25 feet in height but only spreads 12 feet wide. Discovered in Esk Valley, New Zealand, this showy Sycamore Maple has an upright form and will knock your socks off with its color transformation and combination year after year!
Landscape Application:
This is a nice small tree that doesn't get too wide. Use this as an incredible specimen shade tree in a protected area. Be sure to leave enough room for a seating area, or hammock underneath it. This is a great tree to give yourself a natural experience. What a perfect accent tree in a Meditation Garden!
These are the perfect width to be a great street tree and grow tall enough to become lush shade trees. If you have a partly shaded front yard, a single specimen on a berm will turn heads each year! Plant around backyard seating areas or outside your favorite window so you'll always be able to view its yearly transformation!
Bring the outside in by pressing some of these amazing leaves between the pages of a heavy book for several months. Frame them in a mounting with a wide, white mat. Hang your framed series of dried leaves along a hallway, den, or mud room as a highly effective grouping and conversation starter!

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Protect the foliage of this deciduous tree from afternoon direct sun for the best color, but depending on how much sun it receives, this Maple tree's coloration can vary. Plant your Maple in well-drained rich soil, and keep the soil evenly moist, but please know that it won't tolerate soggy soil. If you need to improve your drainage, create a raised berm of mounded soil. New plants appreciate a 3-4 inch deep layer of mulch spread out a few feet from the trunk to cover the entire drip line. This not only improves soil, insulates the roots, and holds moisture more consistently, but also protects the trunk from mower damage.
- Full Sun With Protection or Partial Shade/Afternoon Shade Locations
- Well-Drained Enriched Soil
- Regular Moisture Access
- Prune Late Winter
- Appreciates Mulched Roots
