The sole purpose of listing shrubs in the Large Shrub category is to inform customers which plants require a large space or can be used for a screen or hedge.  Large shrubs are widely used in windbreaks and for wildlife covers.   They are able to produce fruits for ornamental use or for wildlife food.   Some of the best tall shrubs for hedges or privacy use include: Llilacs (Sryinga), Flame Amur Maple (Acer ginnala), Nellie Stevens Holly (Ilex), Tree Lilac Shrub Form (Syringa reticulata), Privet (Ligustrum), and Pussy Willow (Salix discolor).
