Magnificently Fluorescent Luxuriant Bleeding Heart

  • Pink Heart-Shaped Flowers
  • Fern-Like Foliage
  • Long Bloom Period
  • Best in Shade And Organic Soil

The Luxuriant Bleeding Heart (Dicentra 'Luxuriant') is a fast-growing perennial with pink, heart-shaped flowers. The blooms look wonderful against its grayish foliage.

Luxuriant Bleeding Heart will bloom from May to September and is a major attractor to butterflies, birds, and other beneficial pollinators.

This breathtaking plant makes excellent cut flowers, in mass with groundcovers, or in potted containers.

Being an old fashioned plant, it is a must in any landscape. Some companion plants who are excellent planted with the bleeding heart are Astilbe Montgomery, Hosta and the Polygonatum Variegatum.

This beautiful plant should be planted in partial sun but will tolerate morning and full shade. It is heat tolerant and needs moist soil. Be sure to not let it dry out.

This is a plant for the fertile but well-drained soils. It prefers consistently moist, humus-rich soils similar to a great woodland soil full of organic matter and richly fertile. At planting time add lots of compost, humus or peat moss to the soil to enhance its water retention capabilities. These plants will not grow well in heavy clay soil.

You'll want to be sure to plant in locations that are protected from high winds and early frosts. Plant at the edge of woodlands or on the north or east sides of buildings. You may divide in either spring or fall, and should be done every few years to maintain vigor.

Add this gorgeous award winning Luxuriant Bleeding Heart to your garden from our experts at Nature Hills before it's too late!
