Japanese Willow

Out of stock

The Japanese Willow, 'Salix Integra Flamingo', produces beautiful pink variegated foliage all season long.  The outer leaves turn a bright pink while the inner leaves are green and white.

This willow will provide you with striking colors throughout all four seasons!  In the spring, before it leafs out, it produces hundreds of slender catkins that contrast brilliantly against the deep red stems.

Then you will see the pink summer foliage!  You may prune the plant back for another flush of pink foliage later in the season.

In the fall and winter the bright red stems add another dimension and color to the landscape.

First prune in March-April after frost has passed and throughout summer to make plant bushier.  Regular pruning will promote a denser and healthier plant.

The Japanese Willow also works great as a container plant.
