#ProPlantTips for Care:

Plant them in a sheltered, sunny spot with moist soils for best results. In Zones 6 and up, you can dig up the rhizomes in late fall; overwinter these stored dormant rhizomes until the threat of spring frost has passed.

  • You can keep these in oversized containers as an excellent "Thriller". Just ensure your Canna has consistent water to keep the masses of broad, fleshy leaves healthy.
  • Feed a slow-release fertilizer in spring. These are heavy feeders, please follow the directions on the label for application rate for each plant.
  • In Zones 7 and higher, you'll simply prune foliage to the ground in late fall. It will reappear in spring
