  • Delicious And Full Of Vitamins And Minerals
  • Bears After 2 to 3 Years

Back in 1970, Milo Gibson of Kansas found a pawpaw plant in the wild that would soon become named the "Sunflower Pawpaw" (Asimina triloba 'Sunflower'). The Sunflower Pawpaw tastes better than candy, but is good for you as well. Pawpaws may be the secret to convincing your kids to eat healthy foods since they're full of nutrients and high in protein.

Your Sunflower Pawpaw will produce a large crop of large oblong fruit with a yellow to greenish yellow peel. The flesh is golden yellow and highly sweet. This unassuming fruit is filled with tropical flavors reminiscent of banana and mango. This sunny variety offers more flesh and fewer seeds than many varieties.

This makes enjoying the fruits straight from the tree easier and leaves you with more to turn into baked goods, shakes, or ice cream topping. Ever try a pawpaw pie or pawpaw custard? You should!

The pawpaw's flowers arrive in spring, dressed to impress in lovely dark red to burgundy. And these blooms are tailored into a bold bell shape. Butterflies and hummingbirds find these fashionable flowers irresistible.

The Sunflower Pawpaw tree stays compact, and it is rarely bothered by pests. Plant it in wetter parts of your yard or where shade prevents other trees from thriving. With this lovely tree in your yard, you will enjoy deep green summer foliage that turns honey yellow as summer turns to fall.

Sunflower Pawpaws grow well in the shade, but plant yours in full sun for the best yield. You may want to protect young pawpaw from the hot afternoon sun while they first sink their roots into the soil. Give its roots good, rich loam that is slightly acidic and feed it plenty of composted plant material, and it will reward you with crops of delicious and nutritious fruit.

So don't wait, order your Sunflower Pawpaw today, and choose a pollinating pair to enjoy the most fruit possible. You will be tempted to share the tropical tasting fruit with your friends, but you might want to think about that before you start passing them out since your little ones will finally want to eat their fruits and veggies.
