Are you getting your daily supply of Superfruits? If not, maybe it's time to grow some in your own backyard! Sugar Mountain® Eisbar Sweetberry Honeysuckle Bush (Lonicera caerulea SUGAR MOUNTAIN '54-57') isn't just a superfruit, but a super-easy and super-prolific plant, too!

These North American natives are hardier than blueberries and easier to grow. They are very adaptable to just about any garden situation and produce loads of sweet 1 ½" blue elongated berries that taste like a cross between a blueberry and a raspberry. Unique white blooms are a favorite of pollinators and you'll enjoy fat juicy berries sooner when they ripen in late spring until early summer!

When you order, make sure to order a Sugar Mountain Balalaika Sweetberry along with a pollinator such as Tundra or Balalaika™. That way you'll double your harvest! Sugar Mountain is relatively new for home gardeners. It has only been available on the market since 2015. They aren't as well-known as other berries but we have a feeling that they soon will be!

Planting and Application:

They are great fresh and perfect for baking, smoothies, and other recipes that call for berries. They make a killer ice cream! They also freeze well, which is great because you will be harvesting tons of berries once your plants get established!

Superfruits are fruits that are packed with antioxidants, minerals, vitamins, fiber, and other nutrients that can help you live longer and look better and might even prevent certain diseases. So you'll definitely want to plant many of them! Try a row for privacy along your property line or seating areas, or backdrops for vegetable gardens and herbs. Add to pots and planters on sunny balconies, porches and patios for a convenient harvest!
