A little lime green and pink powerhouse from Proven Winners® Color Choice®! The Snippet Lime® Weigela (Weigela florida SNIPPET 'VUKOZ047213') is about to juice up your garden! We're not overstating it when we say that this little flowering shrub will revitalize your tired beds and instantly upgrade a dated landscape design.

Snippet Lime® is prolific! It will bloom all summer long, right up to the first frost and it doesn't require any deadheading! Spring brings a blanket of countless numbers of soft, light pink flowers that smother the glowing, lime-green leaves that give the plant its name! After the first flush has faded, this fantastic rebloomer will bloom again and again in waves through the fall! The trumpet-shaped blossoms are just the right kind that hummingbirds adore!

Horticulturalists and breeders have worked hard to bring new forms of Weigelas to the market. The fruit of that labor is Snippet Lime®, which brings fresh colors and improved performance to the wonderful world of Weigelas! Hardy throughout USDA growing zones 4 to 8, this cold-hardy and easy-to-grow ornamental shrub will amaze you with its sheer color! It more than makes up for its diminutive size!

Planting and Application:

Snippet Lime® is a dwarf Weigela, which makes it very versatile in any landscape! Do you need a low hedge to border the driveway? Do you need a groundcover under the front tree? Do you need something under the big bay window? How about a facer plant to hide larger plants' bare leggy stems? Snippet Lime® will go there! Acting as a low visual hedge and amazing facer plants in front of taller foundation shrubs, their height makes them perfect edging plants to define borders and brighten up the path along walkways.

Because Snippet Lime® is rarely without blooms from late spring through fall, they are welcome additions about anywhere! Snippet® Weigela will remain small and fits just about anywhere! From adding a pop of bright color to borders to adding some pizzazz to your mixed-shrub beds!

Snippet Lime® is made for potting up in a container or planter! Utilize matched pairs of urns brimming in romantic bright Snippet Limes® as gorgeous flanking on either side of walkways and your front entry! Bathing everything in radiant color!

Pollinators just can't stay away! Your garden will hum with butterflies, bees and hummingbirds. What stays away are deer and rabbits, so plant it around your woodlands and to the rear of your property to your heart's content. Try planting Snippet Lime® with its sister Weigela, the Snippet® Dark Pink for a powerful play on color!

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Snippet Lime® fits perfectly in just about any sunny spot! Weigela shrubs thrive best in full sun, requiring at least six hours a day, with eight or more just improving the color and quality of your Snippet Lime®. Doing their very best in average, well-drained garden soils, they enjoy moderate moisture levels but are not particular on the soil type. A generous layer of mulch helps retain soil moisture in the ground as well as insulates the root system from heat and chill.

Dwarf Weigela won't need pruning, or deadheading in order to rebloom. However, if you wish to give them a trim, just be sure to do it immediately after that first spring flush of color. Weigela does benefit from a renewal pruning every few years, with the oldest stems removed that are not as productive to keep the shrub dense, loaded in blooms and lushly covered in foliage.

Super easy to grow and doesn't fuss or require fussing, Weigela are very late to leaf out in spring, so be patient if you don't see signs of life on your plant, despite the fact that other plants in your landscape may be starting to grow.
