Scotch Broom Sister Disco
This Scotch Broom will dance its way into your heart!
Scotch Broom is a great garden plant if you’ve got the space for it. Some of us don’t though. For us, Sister Disco is making the scene!
Sister Disco Scotch Broom welcomes spring with a profusion of bi-colored yellow and red sweet-pea-like flowers. They are so bright they can be seen from across the garden! You can’t miss her.
Scotch Broom is semi-evergreen (that means it is evergreen in warm climates but loses its leaves in cold ones) and can typically grow up to 8 feet tall. Sister Disco has a semi-dwarf habit, though, so it only grows up to 3 feet tall. This makes it perfect for borders and a fantastic companion to tulips and daffodils since they are both blooming at the same time.
The ‘broom’ part of the name is because of the broom-like foliage that adds a light texture to the border. They are highly deer resistant, so if Bambi treats your garden like a smorgasbord, then this is the plant for you.
Scotch Broom adapts to many garden soils, so it is sure to work in some of your hard-to-grow areas. Sister Disco will dance into your heart this spring, so make sure to order a few right now!
