Salvia Viola Klose

The Salvia Viola Klose, 'Salvia nemorosa 'Viola Klose', is a new meadow sage selection that grows 18-20 inches high like May Night Salvia, but has deep, dark, violet-blue flower spikes through the summer.

The compact foliage of this meadow sage is aromatic when crushed and is a selection that has proven to be an outstanding performer.

Salvias enjoy a long bloom time if the spent flowers are removed after blooming. Ornamental varieties such as the ‘Viola Klose’ are great for cut flower arrangements.

‘Viola Klose’ is an instant favorite with the hummingbirds and butterflies and is deer resistant. It is a very vigorous, fast growing plant with stunning violet blue flowers; deeper and more intense in color than any other perennial salvia.

Salvia ‘Viola Klose’ has an upright spreading habit of growth with a relatively fine texture. It is best cleaned up in early spring before it resumes active growth for the season.

Make your home and garden area look fantastic with the addition of this Salvia ‘Viola Klose’, and don’t forget that this salvia makes a great gift!
