Fragrant pink beauty, the Perfume Delight Hybrid Tea Rose (Rosa 'Perfume Delight') is an extremely fragrant variety of classic Rose bush! Only a few Roses qualify as extremely fragrant, and Perfume Delight is one of the top fragrant Roses available!

It won the AARS award in 1974, and remains one of the most sought-after fragrant pink Tea Roses around! This rich, deep rose-pink beauty produces elegant buds that open into large, fully double blooms that are borne on long stems - Perfect for cutting to add to your bouquets! The perfume is a strong, heady old-world Damask Rose fragrance!

The Perfume Delight is a vigorous, strong, upright-growing bush with dark green foliage. Blooming continuously or in flushes throughout the growing season in USDA hardiness zones 6 to 9. Highly disease-resistant and easier to grow than you'd expect! Perfume Delight only grows 3-4 feet tall with a slightly wider spread.

Planting and Application:

Perfume Delight Tea Rose has the perfect size and shape to hold its own as a specimen Rose and landscape focal point! Both in the ground and in large pots and planters, any sunny site is befitting one of these scented wonders! Even container, balcony, and rooftop gardeners can enjoy a few in large planters! The size and shape of this flowering shrub make it ideal as a hedge that few critters will want to tangle with due to the thorns, and the lush green foliage looks great even when the shrub isn't in bloom! Dense enough to use as a privacy hedge for seasonal screening around the porch, and pool deck, or dividing the front yard from the sidewalk and deterring foot traffic.

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Roses bloom best in full sun and really appreciate the drying power of the morning sun. Good air circulation is important. Plant in enriched, well-drained soil and provide moderate, yet consistent moisture throughout the growing season.

Water new plants regularly so they do not dry out between waterings to support the blooms. You can either install underground irrigation or only water at the root zone and keep excess moisture off the leaves to discourage disease. Use 3-4 inches of arborist mulch to help keep the roots moist and protected. Applying 3-4 inches of arborist mulch also prevents mud and water from splashing the foliage. Apply Rose fertilizer 2-3 times a year for best results according to package directions.

Growing Hybrid Tea Roses in zones colder than zone 7 should be mounded with 8-12 inches of mulch in late fall for best overwintering. Prune canes to 6 - 8 inches above the crown in early spring.
