The Hibiscus Tricolor, 'Hibiscus syriacus 'Tricolor', is a medium size, upright growing, slender, well-branched shrub with bright green serrated leaves. It is easily grown, tolerating a wide range of soil and moisture conditions. It produces pink, purple and white blossoms in late summer. This deciduous flowering shrub develops multi-stemmed branches with many vertical branches. The toothed green leaves pack the plant densely in the summer. Tricolor is late to leaf out in the spring. Annual pruning will increase shoot vigor and flower size. The flowers attract butterflies and hummingbirds.
