Stunning Color in a Fast Growing Rose

The Rugosa Rose is also called the Saltspray Rose is a favorite shrub rose for creating the ultimate impenetrable hedge.

It has beautiful pink flowers that continually bloom from June through August and are 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 inches in size.

The Rose Rugosa develops 1 inch red hips in August which last through the winter to provide food for wildlife.

It is a fast growing-expanding by up to 2 feet per year and is suitable for any soil conditions. This rose is widely used in landscaping and as a hedge because if its tough disease tolerant characteristics and profuse number of  thorns.

It is salt-tolerant so it is useful in northern climates along roadside or driveways that are being deiced regularly with salt.
