Capsicum Spanish Spice (USDA Organic) HOT Pepper, Capsicum 'Spanish Spice', has a great flavor and aroma that makes this pepper a great choice for grilling or frying. The 7" fruits of 'Spanish Spice' look like a green chili pepper but are more spicy than hot. The thin walls allow this pepper to cook quickly and are also used raw in salads.

The 'Spanish Spice' plant produces heavy yields of 8 ½" long by 2 ¾" wide sweet peppers. These peppers have a spicy taste and are not hot. They have thin walls and turn from green to dark red when mature.

With an incredible flavor, 'Spanish Spice' has just the slightest 'bite' to it. It is excellent if added to salads in both green and mature red stages!

Capsicum refers to a wide variety of tropical pepper plants with the genus of the same name. The name is perhaps derived from the Latin ""capsa,"" or box for the pod-like fruit. They are also frequently used both chopped and raw in salads, or cooked in stir-fries or other mixed dishes.

They can be sliced into strips and fried, roasted whole or in pieces, or chopped and incorporated into salsas or other sauces. Capsicum is a relative of the tomato and requires similar growing conditions.
