Pounce on this stunning iris while we still have it in stock. The Ocelot Tall Bearded Iris (Iris germanica 'Ocelot') has the catlike mystery and exoticism of its feline namesake. With its peach standards and violet falls, it's easy to see why this remarkable variety earned its various awards from the American Iris Society.

The Ocelot Tall Bearded Iris receives more attention than most iris varieties. And with up to eight double buds per season, it's no wonder that the Ocelot is a gardener's favorite. It features peachy standards with frilly edges and ruffled black-violet falls. And as bright as a cat's eyes, the Ocelot Tall Bearded Iris's apricot beards pop against its purple and pale orange.

This mid-season bloomer bursts with color atop its strong semi-evergreen foliage. With long pale green sword-like leaves, the Ocelot Tall Bearded Iris is perfect in any herbaceous border.

When the Ocelot Tall Bearded Iris blooms, you can expect a wide range of local pollinators to stop by. From butterflies to birds, this brilliant iris is irresistible. It may be its high contrast color scheme or its sweet scent, but the Ocelot Iris is sure to be a pit stop for your nearby pollinators.

This bi-colored stunner is a show-stopping addition to any garden border or as a foundation plant. Its contrast makes it impossible to ignore when planted along the fence line, around a fountain, or other beside your hardscaping.

For best performance, provide Ocelot Tall Bearded Iris with a sunny spot or partially sunny spot to show off its iridescent foliage and striking blooms. It also does best in soil that drains quickly with medium or low moisture levels. This plant adapts well to a wide range of soil types and does not require much attention after established.

The Ocelot Tall Bearded Iris will thrive when planted in a container in spring, otherwise, it roots best when planted in early to mid-fall. After established, this plant is quite drought tolerant and won't require you to water it often. It's deer and rabbit resistant as well.

This easy-to-grow iris is guaranteed to turn heads and add drama to your landscape. This bi-colored iris is easy to care for and offers unparalleled style. Don't miss out on your opportunity for the Ocelot Tall Bearded Iris to add mystique to your garden and order one today!

Information About Bare Root Iris

Bare root Iris are shipped as nice fresh cut divisions with two to three fans of green tops. Keep in mind each Iris variety can have slightly different sized roots.

When planting, make sure 1/3rd of the rhizome is exposed to sunlight with the roots buried underneath. Note, it's best to cover the rhizome with a thin layer of mulch or leaves to protect it during the coldest months but make sure to uncover in the spring.
