Fall-planted bulbs should be planted in the fall 6 to 8 weeks before a hard freeze. Each bulb should be planted pointed end upward and at least 8 inches deep. The location should be mulched, well-drained and in full to partial sun. Parrot Tulips do not like wet soil so water only when planting if it gets very dry in the fall or during prolonged drought.
