The Lilac Maiden's Blush (Syringa X hyacinthiflora Maiden's Blush) is an early flowering, single-petalled variety of Lilac. With blooms that range from light pink to medium-pink, to lavender-pink, with a tendency to display different shades of pink to purple depending upon soil conditions and climate.

Reddish flower buds burst out early and are amazingly fragrant, this Lilac will delight you with varying shades from year to year!

Maiden's Blush is one of the first lilacs to bloom and bloom it does! Prolific flowers burst onto the scene each spring, several days sooner than traditional Lilacs. It’s no wonder this Lilac won the prestigious Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society.

This rounded, deciduous shrub has dark-green foliage that makes a lovely contrast against the light blooms. The heart-shaped leaves look lively and are the first to emerge in spring.

How to Use Maiden's Blush Lilac In The Landscape

Maiden's Blush is perfect as an accent shrub in any garden, back of a border, or use in mass to create a flowering hedge. Reaching a height of up to 12 feet tall, these will certainly hide any unsightly view.

A lovely row of fragrant blooms is sure to keep the peace between you and your neighbors! Create living rooms with these lush plants and create personal space within your garden.

A wonderful specimen shrub or addition to a mixed-shrub border and creates amazing privacy. The upright, open branching structure makes these amazing informal hedges and dramatic color throughout the growing season!

#ProPlantTips For Care

While most Lilacs need full sun for the most blooms and color, Maiden's Blush also does well in light shade. In fact, these will appreciate shade in the hottest climates during summers.

This Lilac prefers well-drained soil and will tolerate poor soil conditions. Loving fertile, humus-rich soil that remains well watered, especially while blooming and through the hottest part of the summers.

Highly cold-tolerant, these are USDA hardy from 2 through 8, tolerating harsh winters. Maiden's Blush is disease tolerant, though does need good air circulation.

It should only be pruned after flowering to avoid removing any of the next season's flowers! It is a good choice for attracting pollinators without attracting deer!

You won't go wrong with an early blooming, fragrant Lilac for your landscape. Order your very own Maiden's Blush Lilac today!
