Lenten Rose Royal Heritage Strain, Helleborus x hybridus 'Royal Heritage Strain', includes a wide range of sumptuous colors. Purple, near-black, white, pale green, yellow, pink, rose, and red flower colors are possible, some are spotted or brushed with a contrasting color on the 2" wide blooms.
Royal Heritage™ Strain brings the varied and lovely world of Helleborus right into your garden. It supplies a wider range of colors and a better adaptability than older varieties. Helleborus Royal Heritage™ Strain was the 2005 Perennial Plant of the year award winner.
It often flowers during the Christian season of Lent, from which it gets its common name, Lenten Rose.
Helleborus is a hardy, easy to grow perennial that thrives in a partially sunny to full shade location and are great companions to Hosta. They are tolerant of heat and humidity.
Helleborus are enjoyable to grow because they are low-maintenance and disease/pest-free. As with many ornamental perennials, adequate soil preparation is the key to long term health and vigor. Helleborus are deep rooted, stout plants, and are well-known for their thick, shiny green foliage. Trim back last year's foliage in the spring.

Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
