Petite white blooms bubble up along the length of these wand-shaped scapes for a lovely look!

It can be difficult to find a shade-loving plant with bold colors and even foliage. Cold-hardy throughout USDA growing zones 4 to 9 and grows around a foot tall and wide. Deer-resistant, humidity and cold-tolerant, and easy to grow, Heuchera are easy to grow for even the most novice gardener!

Planting and Application:

Heuchera are long-lived perennials that return year after year. It stays low to the ground but spreads wide to cover bare earth. Use them to illuminate the edges of your mature garden borders. They'll do wonderfully well in the shade of a taller perennial or shrub. Underplant your favorite small ornamental tree from Nature Hills with Lemon Supreme Coral Bells. These low-lying space-saving plants look great as pathways and edging too! You'll create a terrific focal point for about 20 minutes of work a year. Use plenty in a mass planting for a delightfully colorful carpet peeking out from underneath evergreens.

Smart pollinators visit the sweet, bell-shaped flowers to gather nectar. You'll have plenty of traffic from butterflies, hummingbirds, and beneficial pollinators. Snip some of the blooms for yourself to decorate your home. They make charming cut flowers to enjoy for a long time. Pretty throughout the Cottage garden, Perennial border, and Pollinator border, but tough enough for Rock Garden, and in rows along your drive.

For a lively and attractive mass planting, group several Carnival Cocomint Coral Bells in a hard-to-reach area of your yard. If you have a shady spot where other plants struggle, Coral Bells will rise to the occasion! Can you imagine the impact of Lemon Supreme Coral Bells in large outdoor mixed containers? They make a great "Filler" with other shade-loving plants...or try as a single species planting.

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Coral Bells are cold-hardy throughout USDA growing zones 4 to 9, and are easy to grow for even the most novice gardener! These ornamental Perennials do well in partial shade and enriched, well-drained soil with regular moisture. To keep Coral Bells happy, water them well in the heat of summer and the winter months. Given enough moisture, they can tolerate full shade in the hottest of growing zones! A generous layer of mulch helps retain soil moisture as well as insulate the root system.

Coral Bells don't like to be planted too deeply into the ground, keep the crowns up above ground level. Coral Bells should be cut back in the early spring, and in fall, divide every 3-5 years to maintain vigor. Tolerating heat and humidity, it is low-maintenance and performs well even in the South where it can display evergreen tendencies. This plant is deer-resistant and drought resistant once established. It also does well in heat and around well-traveled areas of the yard. Heuchera may look tender, but this Coral Bell flourishes in just about any climate and light condition.
