Grow sunshine in your garden with one or more of our exquisite Lemon Drop™ Rose Trees (Rosa 'WEKyegi' PP# 14,555). Our expert growers have married this prolific Miniature Rose hybridized by Tom Carruth atop a clean trunk...so you can really study each very double, old-fashioned bloom and enjoy their lemony eye candy!

Lemon Drop roses are larger than the average Mini Rose at over an inch, and they are packed with over 30 petals apiece. What's more, the incandescent flower power starts in late spring and continues all the way through fall!

Planting and Application:

Bright, glossy green foliage displays very good disease resistance and makes a wonderfully bushy canopy for these darling accent plants. It's fun to watch the pointed buds open into clear lasting lemonade yellow that won't fade!

  • Plan to snip the clusters of clear, lemon yellow blossoms for cute Lemon Drop Rose bouquets for your kitchen table. Start collecting bud vases, and you can give these tender treats to your local schools, hospitals and retirement homes!
  • Who can have a bad day with these cheerful blooms nearby? Keep them as "Thrillers" in patio pots to decorate your outdoor side tables.
  • Use a series of these munchkins along your garden path to feel like Dorothy Gale in full color. Kids will be entranced by these petite trees, and their moderately smooth branches have few thorns.
  • Although the blooms come in a joyful color, their old-fashioned form is quite sophisticated. Plant them in slate gray planters for an easy focal point on your urban balcony with gray and white chevron striped throw pillows and a yellow citronella candle holder or two.
  • These abundant bloomers produce waves of successive buds and blooms all season. You can count on your Lemon Drop Miniature Rose Trees for a consistent garden display through autumn.

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Look for the right planting site for Tree-form Roses and you'll be pleased at their performance. Give them full sun with at least six hours of sunlight, well-drained soil and adequate air circulation.

  • For a life-long benefit, use symbiotic Nature Hills Root Booster formula in the planting hole. Get expert planting tips from our Nature Hills Horticulture team.
  • If the weather stays dry, give supplemental water on a regular basis, especially on container-grown plants. Use a high-quality Rose fertilizer according to the label directions for these repeat bloomers.
  • In fall, rake and bag fallen leaf litter in the yard waste. In early spring, prune out any branches that are growing into the interior of the canopy; then tip prune to shape as needed.
