Lamium Purple Chablis
A beautiful frothy confection for sun or shade!
Purple Chablis Lamium (Lamium maculatum – common name Dead Nettle) is a stellar groundcover of silver and green leaves made all the better by the abundance of wine-purple turtle-head flowers that float above the foliage sporadically during the spring and summer.
This sweet plant only grows a foot high but spreads two feet or more. It stays green in even the hottest weather and makes sunny areas cooler and shady areas brighter. Several will cover a large area quickly.
If you put it in a container it spills over the edge and will soften the corners of any hardscape if you let it.
Deer won’t bother it, so if you’re tired of having the neighborhood salad bar, then this might be your answer.
For a really unforgettable look, plant Hosta Waterslide in the middle of a group of Purple Chablis. The two will play off of each other in color and form and we guarantee it will be traffic stopping!
Order plenty today (and a hosta or two!) because we know that you will want more of this easy and beautiful plant.
