Moist to average soil that doesn't dry out for long is preferable. Tolerant of any soil type, just be sure it's well-drained.
Juglone, pollution and salt tolerant, Krossa is also deer and rabbit resistant!
Mulch keeps the roots cool and moist. The thick leaves resist slug damage quite well, just be sure to remove debris each winter to deter slugs and other pests from having a place to hide. Remove all foliage in the fall after the frost has killed back the tops.
