The Kathy Chilton Iris is gifted when it comes to style. One could even say that she's dressed for the red carpet. Her high-contrast color scheme catches eyes from across the yard, across, the street, or even down the block. And she's not shy, either. This showy Iris stands tall and elegantly glows in the sun. In fact, you'll love how the sun brings out its buttery hues and highlights its ruffled edges. You may even find yourself unable to resist feeling its velvety falls that feature the faintest white vein along its beards.

Luckily, this captivating Iris is easy to plant and care for. It dazzles in full sun or partial shade and prefers well-drained soil. It establishes quickly when planted with a little care. Be sure to place the rhizome roots-down and bury them, leaving the top third of the rhizome showing. Water it well for the first two weeks, and cover with mulch before winter.

Don't settle for boring Irises. Add this gal to your garden and experience the excitement that the Kathy Chilton Tall Bearded Iris offers. Order now!

Information About Bare Root Iris

Bare root Iris are shipped as nice fresh cut divisions with two to three fans of green tops. Keep in mind each Iris variety can have slightly different sized roots.

When planting, make sure 1/3rd of the rhizome is exposed to sunlight with the roots buried underneath. Note, it's best to cover the rhizome with a thin layer of mulch or leaves to protect it during the coldest months but make sure to uncover in the spring.
